I was anxious about going to Western Dental, because of a very bad experience a foster child had about nine years ago. To my great surprize and relief, my experience was a very good one.
I spoke to Dee at the toll-free number, who set up an appointment and took down most of my information. When I arrived, I was asked to sit back down and wait until they brought me my paperwork. After about half an hour I approached the desk and asked for my paperwork to fill out. It appeared that the girl who had asked me to wait had forgotten me. Once the paperwork was filled out I wated less than ten minutes to be called back for xrays.

After x-rays I waited about another 10 minutes before meeting Dr. Mercado. She discussed my xrays with me and she was very gentle. I felt listened to and I felt that she cared about her patients. She explained options and was very respectful of my budget and the restrictions of my dental insurance. We decided to extract an abcessed molar.

What a belssing to not have the pressure under the crown on that tooth. In spite of the local ansethetic, I could open my mouth wider after the extraction than I had been able to do for a couple of weeks. When I got home I went to sleep and got the best sleep in quite a while.

When I awoke I realized what she meant by another tooth was decayed to the nerve. I was experiencing twinges of pain from this tooth, and I can only guess that the pain from the molar was so great, that I didn't even notice this bicuspid. I'll be returning to see her and have this tooth extracted or repaired.

Thank you, Dr. Mercado! You restored my faith in Dentists. Thank you Western Dental for having office hours on Saturdays and evenings so that I don't loose pay when I come in for treatment.
