A co-worker referred me to Dr. Petersen and I was impressed with his up to date treatments. I thought he was rather expensive, but I decided to give him a try for awhile. I had a lot of work done with replacing my old silver fillings with porcelain. I also had a crown put on after I cracked a tooth. It cost a ton of money but I managed to get it all paid off and continued to come in for my regular cleanings.

Everything was going okay until one day during my cleaning, Dr. Petersen came in, barely said hello, looked in my mouth, said some things to the hygienist and left. The hygienist sent me up to the treatment coordinator who was very cold and callous. She slammed me with an estimate of all this work I had to have done costing well over $2,000.00. I was so upset I was nearly in tears. I told her I would have to think about it and I left.

My best friend referred me to her dentist for a second opinion. I had the X-rays sent over to the new dentist and he was appalled by Dr. Petersen's diagnosis and said there was no way I had all those problems, except for a couple of cavities. He also said Dr. P. did a lousy job on the crown and we'll keep an eye on it, for someday it may need to be replaced. Needless to say, when Dr. P.'s office called and asked me what I've decided, I told her I've decided to never come back.

By the way, I'm very happy with my new dentist. He doesn't try and rip me off and he discusses things with me, unlike Dr. Petersen.

Dr. Petersen and his staff have taken care of my dental needs for many years. Even though I have moved out of the area I still prefer to come back to him. His level of expertise and kind caring demeanor are greatly appreciated. My positive experiences with him lead me to choose Dr. Petersen to do a much desired dental restoration. My results could not have been better! I finally had the smile I had always wanted. Every single step of the way I was told what to expect and was treated with the utmost of care. I trust him so much he even cared for my sister with Down syndrome's teeth. I highly recommend Dr. Petersen to anyone for any dental need. He is simply the best and his prices were very fair.

Paid over close to $1300 for a crown. Had some bonding done as well and after having to go back and get some repaired because some chipped off, more chipped off again after that.

Was told on my first visit I had a deep cavity on the upper right side. Went back in for that cavity and it couldn't be found anywhere. Instead I was told I had a cavity under a previous crown and would need deep cleaning to the tune of nearly $3,000.

First of all, no other dentist in Hemet charges $400 per area (quadrant) for cleaning. This is not Beverly Hills. Their location is in a Stater Brothers shopping center. Speaking of Beverly Hills, I called two dentists there who don't even charge $400 per area. $1600 to deep clean teeth????
The most insane thing I have ever heard of.

Avoid this office.
