Definitely not! It was obvious they just wanted to make money!

Absolutely Not! My appointment always conflicts with my schedule

I hope he gets reported because he is abusive. As an eating disorder patient, he does not understand this disease. Please take your children somewhere else- he is a detestable person.

Dr. Nguyen was absolutely awful. I was mortified by the way he treated me. I left Vista in worse condition when I went there. He would say things to me like "If you're so unhappy maybe you should just kill yourself and get it over with" or "was your eating disorder another way to try and kill yourself or was it just one of the many stupid things you do?" I was traumatized after I left Shands Vista. I really do not recommend that anyone go there ever. Dr. Nguyen is a true narcissist and he really knows how to put on a show for the parents and play the good guy, but he is truly godawful underneath it all.

When i was younger i was one of his patients, this man would treat you with respect as an outpatient, but when you're admitted into VISTA as an inpatient, he treats you like dirt and makes you feel as if you're wrong. He'll put on a "Mister nice guy" act whenever family visits you as well, but otherwise, he speaks down to you, treating you as if you've done something horrible, even when you need help. NEVER allow your child to see this guy, you would be better off finding help elsewhere.

I would NEVER allow my child to go to VISTA again as long as Dr. Nguyen is there. He treated my 14 year old daughter in an inpatient setting at VISTA for four days. She continues to have nightmares from her stay there 8 months later. Dr. Nguyen's treatment "style" as some of the other staff put it, was so demeaning and degrading to my daughter that she was in a worse place after leaving Vista than she was when she entered. In discussing this with my daughter's regular treating psychiatrist, she told us that several of her other patients have also complained about Dr. Nguyen and his treatment at VISTA and lasting problems upon their discharge. The other doctors there seem to allow his treatment of the patients with a bit of an apologetic nod but do nothing to stop him. My daughter was there for help and instead she was yelled at and belittled and made to feel like she was a bad person rather than a person needing help. Dr. Nguyen was never there when I visited everyday, I think he is not man enough to discuss matters with adults, but prefers to pick on injured children. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD TO VISTA, THEY WILL NOT HEAL BUT HURT MORE.
