When I left my appointment, my mouth felt cleaner than it's ever felt. They did such a fantastic job. The waiting room here is spacious. I never feel like I have to sit too close to someone or that it is overcrowded. I was so impressed with the progress I was able to make after visiting them. All my questions were answered, and I feel a lot more confident and hopeful about the future. They were so easy to reach in an emergency, they answered my call immediately. It is a relief to know that I can count on them to always be there for me when I need them the most. She is fantastic, and even getting a crown was no problem!

Unless you enjoy being taken advantage of and lied to by some scam artist, take your teeth and your business elsewhere.

During my initial consult, I was given a verbal estimate of $5700 for a 3 hour oral surgery, and the Dr. estimated that insurance would cover approximately $1200, leaving me with an out of pocket expense of $4500. I never received a written estimate, nor did I ever receive the insurance predetermination form I was promised. I made it very clear that I wanted to seek a second opinion, as Dr. Chatterjee basically wanted to drill, fill, or remove every tooth in my mouth! She went so far as to mock and belittle me for wanting a second opinion, but that is nothing compared to what she did when I left her office.

As I said, I was promised an insurance predetermination form within the week. Three weeks later, I still did not have one in hand, so I cancelled my appointment for the following week. The day after the scheduled appointment, I received a bill from my credit card in the amount of $6000, charged by good ol' Dr. Chatterjee!!! When I called to demand it be refunded immediately, I was initially told that I was not due a refund because I had not given sufficient cancellation notice. When I reminded her that her appointment card states that only 24 hours notice is required for cancellations, and that I had given a full week's notice, she reluctantly agreed to the refund. She then proceeded to drag her feet for nearly 10 more days before the refund was actually posted to my account.

Long story short, STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM DR. CHATTERJEE AS YOU CAN!

UPDATE: Nearly one year later, I am still getting bills from Dr. Chatterjee in the amount of $150. To this date, her office has yet to provide me with ANY explaination of these charges. I have repeatedly asked for (and been promised) a detailed accounting for these charges, but as is usual for her office, have yet to receive anything of the sort.

I was only in her office TWICE (Once for a consult, once for XRays), and paid the normal $20 co-pay both times. I received the first $150 bill about 5 months after my two visits, with no explaination of the charges. I called to ask about them, and was told 'They did not have the information available [at that time]', and they would send me a detailed accounting later that day. Strangely enough, it never arrived. Each time I received a new $150 bill (about 6 times now), I called to explain that I had not yet received the accounting of the charges, and that I would not pay a dime until the charges were explained. Still nothing to this day.

This is just another example of the kind of practice Dr. Chatterjee runs, and if you read the other comments left by former patients, I think you know you can find a better dentist elsewhere. I just did a quick Google search for C. Rani Chatterjee, and saw that the good Doctor is currently being sued for personal injury by one of her patients. Go figure.
