To Dr. Shahinian and his staff at Skull Base Institute - we are forever grateful. My adult daughter has suffered severe and debilitating "migraine" headaches with visual disturbances and motor skill impairment for over 20 years due to a pineal cyst (that countless other doctors labeled as "incidental" and "not causing the symptoms"). We had lost hope until we found the Skull Base Institute. From my first phone call (answered immediately by incredibly caring staff), up to and including the surgical staff at Mission Community Hospital, we felt safe for the first time in my daughter's life! Dr. S is brilliant, compassionate and quite frankly our "hero". We truly count this entire experience as an answered prayer! Thank you to each and every one of you for your care (and for your continued follow up)!!

I had my Pineal cyst resected on 6/30/15 and I could not be happier with my choice of Dr. Shahinian. He was amazing and so was his staff and the staff at Missions community hospital we equally amazing. My life would not be the same without his help. I struggled for 5 years with a sheet of symptoms and today 98% of them are gone and I am only 6 months post op so the small symptoms that I still have are improving by the day. I will never be able to thank him enough for what he has done to my life. I would recommend him to anyone and have already.

Dr. Shahinian helped me when other surgeons turned me away. He is brave and confident. He has a great bedside manner. He loves helping people and makes you feel like you are very important to him. I didn't feel like I was just another complicated case for him. He also did a wonderful job removing my pineal tumor five years ago and I have not had any subsequent issues from it.

Dr Shahinian is a God send! I thank God for helping me find him! He gave me my life back when he removed my pineal cystic tumor on 2/10/15! He is genuine and he and his staff truly care about their patients and their patients family. No question went unanswered, & everyone call and email was returned. My life is better than I remember. Never did I dream I could feel so good! Thank you Dr S! You are forever a huge part of our lives and a hero to us!

My daughter is scheduled for surgery in April. All my question via email and phone calls have been exceptionally answered. If I had to leave a message or send an email, I would get a response back extremely quickly compared to other doctors, normally within 2 hours. The office has been extremely helpful.

Dr. Shahinian is the best surgeon of his kind - up until my lesion was removed I'd been told my symptoms were only of my imagination which I knew were untrue and that I'd have to live with it and he assured me he could deal with it immediately. Not only was he correct, once the surgery was concluded, my symptoms were gone and I was driving by the third day - I'm not joking. his methods are so non-invasive he is able to remove things that other surgeons can not go 'near' as they are too dangerous with their bulky instruments - I would trust him with even the most delicate of procedures or patients - he is a professional and gentleman. what a wonderful person, so patient and kind.
