Do not recommend this doctor. Office personnel are the worst, especially Teresa. Very rude and unprofessional. Expect a 2-3 hour wait every time.

It always frustrates me when I have to spend a bunch of time driving around trying to find a parking spot, but I didn't have to do that here. I found one right away, and it was right next to the entrance. They put in the extra effort to make me feel valued and important. They've always been on time for my appointments. I've never had to worry about them showing up late or not showing up at all. They have some of the best customer service I have ever seen. Putting their customers first is definitely a priority here and it shows. Dr Young spends extra time with his patients. If you are struggling he won't make you come back another day he helps you though it right then. Yes this does cause him to run behind so the staff always suggest to all patients to call an hour before your appt. and check how he is running. I appreciate his desire to help his patients therefore I do not have a problem waiting or calling in to check if he's on time. He works until 9-10pm so his patients don't have to miss work or school. He always puts his patients first and the staff is very compassionate towards my needs. He books up real fast so I always make my next appt. when I am there. Dr Young is the most amazing Dr I have ever known. It's rare to find a doctor that puts his patients first these days.

My son, age 21, was diagnosed with borderline ADHD. He was prescribed Adderall by Dr. Young. On the questionnaire my son completed for his first visit he documented that he smoked pot. I was with my son for his first 2 out of 3 appointments so I know this is a fact, as well as in with him for his actual visit. Dr. Young never warned my son of the dangers of using Adderall and smoking pot. NEVER..My son became psychotic & he was never warned of the dangers of mixing these 2 drugs. Once I researched the internet, I was horrified as to the documented cases of mixing these 2 drugs. I emailed the doctor twice during these episodes and the best response I got was that he called in a prescription of Seroquel the first time. The second email response was calling in a prescription for Respiradol. While those might have been good meds, there was never any attempt to talk to me or my son. I was always stuck with speaking to his receptionist. As far as getting my son into an "urgent" appointment, that was non-existent. Very poor management of a patient's care especially with the serious potential side effects of combining Adderall & Marijuana. While my son accepts responsibility for his misjudgement, Dr. Young should have known better and warned his patient of the potential of having lifelong psychiatric problems by abusing/combining various drugs. While the percentage of these cases is small, it happened to my son. It will now take months of healing & we hope & pray he does fully heal. Drug induced Schizophrenia can be permanent. Why wasn't Dr. Young, Neuropsychiatrist, professional enough to warn his patient of this fact??

This person placed me on a regimen of Zyprexa prior to bed time for aid in sleeping. It caused me to gain 100+ lbs. in 6 months. The medication also caused temporary elevations in liver enzymes, as well as permanent stretch marks all over my body from the weight gain. Upon addressing the doctor with my complaints of these symptoms, he suggested that I go on a diet - basically avoiding all responsibility for the physical damage his care had caused me. Soon after I stopped being a patient of his, the medication was pulled from the shelves, as it was found to cause liver failure, diabetes, and a multitude of other serious conditions. However, for the duration of the time I was prescribed this medication by this physician, he assumed an air of arrogance about it - to the effect that the medication was fine, and that the symptoms that I experienced, which put my health in danger and left me physically scarred, were of my own doing. It became very clear to me after the observation of his behavior that he has absolutely no concern for his patients' wellfare.
