I noticed on some other sites that he got some medium (not bad) marks. But those questions didn't get to the bottom line... did everything turn out great, and for that I have a resounding yes. He also honored my interest in taking responsibility for my own health and healing. As for waiting time, an orthopedic surgeon OFTEN makes you wait ...because there was an unforeseen accident and he has to go tend to it... (So ask for the first appointment of the day if possible and call ahead before leaving home.) I don't rate him high on "bedside manner" but that's not why I go to him. (Bring your list of questions so he can get right to the point.) He started out as an engineer (and a perfectionist) and he applies that thinking to your problem. He's straightforward and to the point. Bring your honey if you want someone to soothe you and hold your hand. FYI: I've had 2 joint replacements with him, 9 yrs ago and 5 yrs ago. Five stars.

The staff made it completely obvious that they didn't respect Roger Klein, MD. It made me uncomfortable and I wasn't sure if I wanted to return. I would never visit them again. I was very disappointed. They didn't listen to anything I had to say! Whenever I tried to get a word in, they either interrupted me or cut me off before I could finish.

He does listen and I believe he attended the College of Cracker Jack to get his medical piece of paper.

I couldn't believe how knowledgeable and well-informed the staff was. They were able to answer all my questions, except the ones they needed to have their boss's input on. It was great to be able to talk to such a skilled staff. The restrooms were very well-stocked at this provider's office. They always have toilet seat covers, paper towels and toilet paper and never run out. I knew I was getting top-of-the-line treatment when they told me about what they learned at the latest conference they attended, and how they were incorporating that knowledge into the practice. They have really great customer service here. They always put their customers first, regardless of the situation. The owaiting area here is extremely spacious. There is never overcrowding and everything is spaced appropriately. Dr. Klein does impeccable surgery with awesome results. He is a top notch surgeon and a very fine man. I am lucky he was my surgeon.

I went to Dr. Klein hoping for an informed decision as to what to do for a partially torn tendon that was becoming worse. A physical therapist felt that there was nerve involvement and had suggested I see an ortho. This doctor has no time for patients or patience! I waited over an hour beyond my appointed time and when I finally met with the doctor, he declared after a few manipulations that I had tennis elbow. He said he had it too and "it hurts". He would not let me get a word in about my physical therapist's findings. I was also unable to provide him with a history of the progressive pain I have been experiencing. Instead, he told me that he was "4 yrs younger than I and I looked 10 years older than my age" due to being a smoker. I listened to him tell me about the compromised oxygen in my blood flow and the damage this was causing to my collagen. He then ordered Chantex despite my trying to tell him I did not want it because my current medications were all I was willing to take. The visit ended with my asking about what to do for the increasing pain and I was told he could give me a cortisone shot, but that he "did not have time today". I have never left a doctor's office feeling much worse than when I arrived! On a positive note, the staff were very nice and friendly.
