Let me save you a nasty experience - find another doctor. Dr. Lapp has shown no compassion as I was going through a miscarriage. The staff in his office is rude (no smiles, no politeness in this office) and incompetent. Mrs. Lapp, who handles finances, demanded my deductible before the procedure (DNC, because the baby died but was still inside of me) I paid it of course, what am I going to argue with the dr about deductible ($650) while I am in so much pain? Dr. Lapp was late for almost 2 hours for the procedure and without any apology. His office did not submit the bill to the insurance company so I ended up paying another $650 to the hospital who is entitled to the deductible since they submitted their bill per protocol. I called Dr. Lapp to explain at the end of February. I've had the run around ever since, Dr. Lapp doesn't return my phone calls (he did not return my phone call for 5 hours when I called him for pain medication, I was in agony and I could not get anyone in his office to help me). I called almost everyday trying to explain and resolve in a respectful manner and am forced to leave a message, he returned my call once to yell at me - it was so shocking to hear that. It is now August, I still do not have the $650 that Dr. Lapp erroneously collected from me. Dr. Lapp has since then been paid by the insurance company as well and he still refuses to return my money. In my experience, Dr. Lapp is unethical and uncaring. I am so frustrated, I have to taking him to the collection agency – all this trouble because of his mistake and because he just doesn’t care. Shameful, I came to him in pain looking for help and get taken advantage of.
