Let's start with my first contact with the office. I called inquiring about a plastic surgery procedure. I asked the receptionist if there were any before and after shots I can see online. I fair question I thought. She laughed and said we don't put those online. Bad..because a lot of other offices do. If they don't fine, but why laugh at a patient asking a question? Already had an icky feeling from that.

I drive into the parking lot kinda yucky..hidden from the street. Hard to fine. Icky feeling getting worse. Walk into the office there were leopard print chairs, tacky fogged mirror, just not a very welcoming waiting room. Still I wanted to give this place a chance.

I was given paper work. I asked for a copy of the Hippa form because I was signing a form saying I received one which I didn't. The receptionist said she couldn't find a copy. She asked me if I needed it. Um..yea that's why I asked. I did receive one 15 mins after asking for it. No biggie. But, another bad feeling.

I walk into the exam room. Again, kinda tacky. There were blankets covering what I can only guess were old chairs. Blankets on hooks where I was told to hang my things. But, it was full. Just not a very professional looking room.

The actual consult with the doctor went well. He gave me great advice and price! I than asked for before and after pics..things got a bit fishy after that. He asked his assistant to pull patients charts and showed me their pics. Didn't seem legit. I was staring at two full charts. I thought before and after shots should be in an album, with none of their personal info showing. I don't think these women gave consent to be shown like that. Total Hippa violation!

After doing research I realized his prices were a third of the average price of this procedure. Pretty awesome, but I wondered why. I work for a doctor, and patients were always asking me about prices and even the docs. I work in Saratoga, pretty high end clientele, if they can ask why can't I? So, I thought let me ask the doc why the price diff. Just because I was curious. Well, this is when the ish hit the fan.

I asked him why his prices were so much less than other surgeons in the area. I was careful not to use the word cheaper. Sales technique I learned at work. He became very defensive and said "well I'll be happy to charge you more." He also said he would be glad to take the money that the other surgeons wanted. Than he continued by asking me how much they were charging. I told him I didn't want to say. That's when he said he did not want me as a patient, and refused services to me. I was completely in shock.

I swear to you I did not come at him in any disrespectful way. Not until he started giving me attitude..I gave it right back.

I than called back to ask for a copy of a quote sheet to give to a diff surgeon. The receptionist said she can fax it and she knew exactly what I wanted. I asked if she can also mail me a copy. Guess what, she said no, cuz she was already faxing one. WTF! Once again, I've worked in a doc office for seven yrs. Never would I say no to a request like that. But whatever!!!

The receptionist called me back saying the doc refused to give me a quote sheet. I asked why she said she didn't know. That all he said was, " I'm not doing that for her." AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!

By this point I am heated. There is noway you can refuse me any part of my medical forms. Including billing information. I had to call back twice threatening to file a complaint with Hippa. I actually talked to the doc again and he continued to be out of line. Asking me "what kind of question is why are your prices so cheap?" I said "sir I am not going to argue with you again, and that's not what I asked you, I just want my quote sheet." He's now claiming he doesn't do quote sheets altogether. Basically he lied, because his receptionist just told me that he refused to do it. Those were her words.

He finally faxed over a quote sheet..altho he claims he doesn't do them, liar! To top it off the quote sheet is not what he quoted me verbally. Ugh!

I also found out dude is not even a Certified Plastic Surgeon. This was a blessing in disguise, cuz this guy could have jacked me up. The receptionist also told me he was the inventor of the tubal reversal. Looked that up online. Couldn't find his name in any of the articles. Fishy fishy!!!!

I didn't think I would ever say this about a doc. But, I HATE him and his lying, sensitive butt!!!!!!!!
