He practices medicine for the $ money only. He is partially responsible for enabling me to develop opiate and anxiolytic dependence. He stated as long as you pay I will prescribe. Then he cut me off cold turkey to avoid any liability. Beware of him.

I saw Dr. Piety back in 2007 and the visit still bothers me! I had frozen shoulder and the pain got so bad that a coworker said why don't you go see Dr. Piety around the corner. She said he'll give you a cortizone shot. I called and they told me to come right in. When the doctor walked in he said "What are you in for beside being obese?". I told him I was in excruciating pain from my shoulder and would like a cortizone shot. He ignored me and held up his hand and said you should never have a serving size larger than you can hold in your hand. I said I would make another appointment to discuss my weight problem and that I came to see him about my shoulder.The pain was agony so I hoped he would help me. He continued on about my weight.

He then asked me "When you go to the gynecologist, do they have to use special tools?" Then he asked "how does your husband get up in there?" I said that was not his business and he shouldn't worry about that. At this point he pulled my sleeve of my blouse, pulling my arm out to take my blood pressure. He put his hand on my bare skin back and said" Hey no back fat! Usually girls your size have back fat!" I thought I was in the twilight zone! I looked at this sadistic man with tears in my eyes and asked are you going to give me a shot? He said no way and showed me an exercise for my shoulder. As he blocked my way to the door he proceeded to tell me about an old stripper who could flip her breasts over her shoulder and some more vulgar things as I ran out of there.
I got to my car and was hysterical! I called my husband, boss, family to tell them what happened. I worked for a law office and they wanted me to sue him. I din't want his money. I seriously considered reporting him to the AMA, but the process was more than I could do at the time! I wish I had now, because I can never forget how horrible that appointment was! Beware!

This was the worst experience I have ever had at any doctor's office. The staff was rude and ill-informed. They had no respect for patient privacy. The office manager was arrogant and condescending. I would never recommend this medical practice to anybody.
