I was referred to this specialist by my regular MD. I am on the edge.. ready to switch to another GI Doctor. The staff is rude and rough on patients. I'm a business person who is comfortable and successful. If I had a staff who treated my clients like Dr. Lerner's staff treats me, I would fire my staff because I'd be losing business. They also have different stories depending on you speak to. One told me the Dr. was on leave and not seeing patients indefinately and that I'd have to call back to see if he was returning, they didn't have time to let me know when he returned to work. Then they refused to refill my prescription until I saw the Dr. again (who knew he was back?).. so I am forced to pay to see this mysterious physician. Money is the motivator and frankly, I plan to let this Dr. go during my next visit. I will tell him why in a clear, frank conversation. Proceed with caution.

I waited over two hours to see Dr Lerner for a follow-up after an endoscopy. When I was finally seen, I felt like I could have gotten all of the information from the follow-up visit off the WebMD site. His office sent me an overdue notice/bill for something that I paid for already. Disorganized office, slow to see patients. My time and money were completely wasted by going to this office/doctor.
