DO NOT GO TO HIM He injured my spleen during colonoscopy and seems to think its my fault. He's too old and needs to retire. He had to sit in a chair while doing the procedure. When I went back to him 4 days later to say I'm in pain he was sitting down and both his hands were shaking.

We wish we would have read all reviews about dr Cohen first. All the reviews proved to be true. Office staff is rude and un caring. It's in a very ghetto area of town. After waiting over 2 hours after our apt time we cancelled our apt and I contacted our PCP for a different referral. I spoke with several patients who were waiting and they had been there for over 3 hours themselves. One patient was livid because his PCP referred him there because he had hep c and dr Cohen insisted it was nothing more than heartburn and heartburn medication would make it go away. That he wouldn't listen or even look at his blood test results. My husband has hep c and after hearing this we decided this dr can not be trusted with such a sensitive issue. He's also 83 years old and should retire. The staff could have cared less when I told them we had been waiting for so long and after speaking with patients and reading reviews we didn't trust my husbands health in his hands. You can tell for sure this Dr was given a contact with the state just to keep his practice open. I aske my PCP to keep us in the honor health system ..DR. DR COHEN IS WITH BANNER.and has stock in st Joseph hospital and will send u for un needed testing said one patient ... honor health in my opinion has the best dr staff around. Stay with them. Do not waste your time with this dr.

Appointments were running late, it happens. Dr. Cohen was the nicest doctor, very low key, very matter of fact, not pushy or touchy-feely. Kind, considerate, knowledgeable.

I was unable to see DR.Winegrad, Theresa the office manager forced me to cancel my appointment since my Health Net insurance was having trouble with their online system and showing me as cancelled. I had my insurance call direct to her and explain they are having a huge issue and are in the process of correcting it and could give verbal confirmation that I am paid current and not cancelled but she said it was not good enough and forced me to cancel anyway. While I am crying on the phone with her begging her to accept the verbal confirmation, her only response was "just find another G.I dr. we wont see you". and when I asked for her supervisors contact information she refused to provide it to me and "assured me Dr.Cohen would be notified of the situation". I asked if I could leave my number and if he would call back and she said "probably not". This was the worst experience with a DR. office that I have ever had. Completely unreasonable and downright rude.
