I have new insurance which my doctor does not accept so I had to find a new doctor. I chose Dr. Rouzaud mainly because the Park Ave. location was close to work. Guess what? They moved two years ago!
Did anyone on her staff bother verifying the address when I made the appt? Nope. They just assume you know where it is. However, every website I checked - including my insurance and Carondelet - give 3939 South Park Ave as the address for Dr. Rouzaud. She's not there.
And yet when I showed up to the appt and learned I was at the wrong place, I could not believe how rude the staff was when I called to let them know I would not be there. I just drove across town for no reason, won't be getting my prescription filled today and they act like THEY are the ones who are inconvenienced. Wow.
Keep in mind that they don't answer the phone. I was wondering how people deal with urgent appts with doctors at this location when they can't get through to a real person for at least 20 minutes. When they do finally answer the phone, the staff is snotty and unprofessional. I had to wait nearly two months to be seen. They also could not accommodate me when it came to the time of day for the appt. I would have had to wait another month to be seen in the afternoon. I work nights. Early morning appts really are not an option for me.
Dr. Rouzaud may be a great doctor, but I'll never know because I still am not really sure where her office is. When I called to say I was at the wrong address, the rude woman put me on hold and never came back. I'm not calling back and I'm certainly not waiting another couple of months to try and get an appt. The fact that the staff is incompetent leads me to believe that it was probably a good thing I could not be seen today. I don't need these people mishandling my health information.
