If this is the same Dr. William Peoples who was the pediatric cardiologist for my son who was unexpectedly born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome in 1996 - he was horrible. When I asked if my son could get a heart transplant he answer was: "we don't do heart transplants in newborns" and then "that's a $100,000 surgery, who's going to pay for that?" as if I was indigent. I had private health insurance. Lastly, he forged my husband's signature to a "waiver of autopsy" form that we never even saw. His response when asked about this - "I wanted to spare you the agony of that decision"...really...is this the same man who said the above? Icing on the cake - if the baby had lived and needed special care then there could have been a lawsuit. But because the baby died, we were told, he was not an income producing member of the family. Nice! My OB/GYN failed me. The emergency pediatric cardiologist failed me, and they both failed my baby.
