I have always found him to be understanding and compassionate. He gave me my husband back. I'm not sure about some of the reviews on here. Mental Health isn't a quick fix. Meds for mental health take months to begin working on most people. I have used Dr. Xavier for 13 years and believe him to be a highly competent psychiatrist.

Called to make an appointment with Dr. Xavier. The receptionist was nothing but rude ..... people are calling with mental issues - she makes you feel crazy and stupid for even calling there. I told her to let me go, please, and I would call back later. I just wanted to get off the phone with her. I don't think I will ever call a psychiatrist .... any psychiatrist for my problems. I will try to deal on my own.

They definitely didn't have enough staff members on hand. It seemed like one person was trying to do everything, and I ended up waiting for a very long time. I was hoping that they would be sympathetic to my situation and understand where I was coming from. Instead, they made it completely obvious that they didn't care about me or what I had been through. They were extremely late to all my appointments. I always had to wait over an hour for them to show up. I've never had to worry about them canceling my appointment. They've always been very reliable.
