I have never been so angry with a doctor in all my life! Dr. Bailey could not have acted any less interested in my symptoms and quality of life if he tried! After i left that office i was in tears! He basically told me, to deal with the symptoms of my Chiari malformation because he could not determine if the Chiari was my cause of my symptoms or not!This man wanted me to have almost an inch of brain dropped under my forum magnum and syrinx. Oh i'm sorry that my chiari hasn't gotten as bad as you wanted it to yet. Lets just wait until it does. WOW THAT IS PRODUCTIVE! All the literature i have read on this, clearly states that even a 3 mm chiari can cause major symptoms. SHAME ON YOU DR BAILEY! That i just needed to let "his people" do the imagining and come back in 6 months. First off, do you really think my insurance is going to pay to have another CINE MRI done when the first one was just fine. Clearly you need your eyes checked Dr. bailey because i showed my neurologist the disks and he read them just fine! Secondly do you think i can continue to miss work to revisit a man who tells me " i don't treat that, ask your neurologist." Do you really think that was helpful? i drove 5 HOURS FOR YOU!!!!! I tell you i don't think i can live another 6months like this, and what do you do. you look at me, shrug your shoulders and say "yeah, well." YEAH WELL THAT WAS HELPFUL! All i can say is WOW! Really? I handed you multiple records showing its not my eyes causing my blurred vision, its not my hormones, its not my ears, brought you disks to look at, and this man can not give me any advice on what to do besides deal with it and call my neurologist because he doesn't treat symptoms!! I drove 5 HOURS for this guy because i was under the impression he was a Chiari Specialist and to be quiet frank i think he is a no more a specialist then i am! Dr. Stephen Bailey i will never ever ever ever recommend you to another living sole as long as i live! You belittled me! You belittled my health! I came to you for a second opinion and all you offered me was to touch my nose see if i could follow orders like a lap dog and tell me to run along home! SHAME ON YOU! Dont worry MAYFIELD! I am going with the first Neurosurgeon! I will be taking my health and my insurances money elsewhere! And ill make sure to never refer anyone to your services again!

This doctor was responsible for gross negligence and the death of our loved one in 1998. His hospital admitted full guilt and a settlement was reached. These are documented facts. Please beware.
