This is my honest experience and perceptions/opinions related to that experience. Dr. Halbrecht performed an ACL revision on my knee, 8 mos. post op. a screw tip 16mm long was found in my knee joint. Dr. H. was defensive, stating that it could not possibly be her screw. After removal by another surgeon it was apparent that is was a tibial screw placed by Dr. H. She was unprofessional, overly confident and she lied to us when reviewing the MRI.

Dr. Halbrecht is a very skilled and knowledgeable surgeon and prescribed a very detailed physical therapy regimen for my recovery. Two other doctors that I saw before Dr. Halbrecht did not recognize the extent of my knee injury in X-rays or MRI images (ACL tear and fracture). Great mobility of shoulder and knee after surgeries. Minimal scarring.

She's performed rotator cuff surgery on both my shoulders. My recovery was quick and mostly painless. I found her prior to my first surgery by going first to a Physical Therapist to get my problem checked out. The therapist said it looked like a rotator cuff problem. I asked him if he saw patients from multiple orthopedic surgeons. He said yes, about 10. I asked then if he could see a differnce between the surgeons. He again said yes. He said that there were two surgeons whose patients experienced significantly less pain after surgery, and healed more quickly, with the least number of physical therapy sessions. Dr. Halbrecht was one of them. He said the only thing he could attribute the difference to was the skill of the surgeon. I chose Dr. Halbrecht for my surgery. My experience was exactly what my PT said - minimal surgical pain, quick recovery. She's thorough, professional, and friendly. I have the greatest respect for her and her skills, based on my experience. She's the best.
