I have seen some positive reviews from the past, and it's possible that he was proficient in his earlier years, but may have become complacent with age. Regardless, if you choose Nick Halikis as your surgeon, be prepared for what is likely to be a mediocre outcome and a below-average experience.
He admittedly forgot to send a pain prescription to CVS, and it took 5 days to correct this, including the weekend. Consequently, I had to endure 5 days of walking around with a broken left wrist and a rt hand finger that needed surgical reconstruction without pain medication. Both my personal calls and those from a representative to his office about this issue were sent to voicemail and never returned.
Expect to wait 45 minutes to 1 hour beyond your appointment time before he graces you with his presence as it appears that he runs his practice like a sweat shop with perpetual overbooking.

I spent a year under the care of Dr. Halikis and his staff in the physical therapy area, and I have nothing but praise for their friendliness and professionalism. I have no doubt he and his team all cared and wanted me to succeed in my healing. Ultimately I had two surgeries. The first was non-negotiable, I simply had to have my broken parts put back together. For the second recommended surgery, Dr. Halikis did not take it lightly or push me into it. He explained my options, and it became obvious the second was a good idea. Again, my physical therapist, Maureen, worked hard with me, and thanks to her exercises, I continued to improve even after I was released from Dr. Halikis' care. He's a rock star doctor, and I highly recommend him and his team.

They barely gave me any information at all. I'm going to have to do my own research to get my questions answered. Their staff was not that friendly, and didn't go out of their way to make me feel welcome. I feel like my appointment was pointless. None of my questions were answered, nothing was accomplished, and I felt worse when I left.

I have taken to rating this doctor on every single site I can find. He is literally that atrocious. He will not even try to help you in the slightest. I had a paper trail of how my condition has affected me for years and how bad it has gotten. I clearly was in search of help and this man couldn't wait to get me out of the door. He then proceeded to bad mouth me as a patient to his colleagues. What ever happened to patient privilege? Clearly, he doesn't value his license or you.
