My mother recently had carpel tunnel surgery performed by Dr. Tipirneni. Although he may be very competent in surgical procedures, the follow-up care was of serious concern. Dr. Tiperneni had very little time to spend with my mother to advise as to what to expect post-surgery, how long it is normal to experience pain, etc. My mother said that she was not advised that she should be exercising her hand with squeezing a ball and not given any written instructions about such things. Rather, she called the office to ask about whether the pain 10 days later was normal and was then told about she should have been exercising her hand for better recovery! Not good. Also, Dr. Tipirneni is quite abrupt, does not have a very good "bed-side" manner so to speak, according to my mother, his patient. At one point she heard the Dr. tell his nurse who just left my mother's room "I just told her that!" Okay, she is over 80 years old, let's have a little compassion and understanding!
