Had my bunion corrected at age 57 from the original surgery when I was 21. Waited all those years to have the experience again but she came highly recommended and the pain was getting wise and shoes were hard to find. Dr. Stephens was wonderful. This surgery was much easier on me. No hospital stay, no pain, walking with an ortho shoe after a few days instead of on crutches for 6-8 weeks like years ago.
She reviewed x-rays that she took of my foot and assured me she could fix it. Since I was not having any issues with my left foot she advised not to do surgery on it. That impressed me. If I ever have trouble with the left foot I will go back to her.

Dr. Heidi Stephens came highly recommended from multiple sources for bunions. I had great results and would not hesitate to do the other one. Everyone in their office was great

Horrible experience! Had surgery and got an infection. Dr. Stephens refused to help me or even make a time to see me. I ended up being taken to TGH by abulance. I was in the hospital 8 days had a picc line 2 weeks and my foot still is not healed! I have foreign objects which i believe are shavings she left in my foot coming out still! This is a nightmare because once you have an infection like this other orthopedic doctors do not want to help you. This doctor had no concern about my welfare what so ever. I was shocked that from the very beginning of me getting sick she would not take care of me. If you have a problem from her surgery you are on
your own! Beware! I have warned you...I came very close to dying of
sepsis. Her lack of concern and total lack of professional conduct almost cost me my life.

Most of the time, they don't call me back for quite a while, but they've called me back quickly once or twice. Their office was well organized and clean. I could tell they took a lot of time making sure it was presentable. Their office was one of the quietest, most peaceful places I've ever visited. I was able to relax very easily. I'm always amazed at how considerate and concerned they are for my well-being. Their advice is always wonderful and completely unbiased. They barely ever answer any of my questions over the phone, and I've had to make way too many appointments.
