Dr. Alonzo Galvan is a small operates a small practice. This is very refreshing. He also gives you great face-to-face time which is abnormal in this day in age. A patient is able to make an appointment VERY quickly with him and he calls you back in a rapid manner!

His staff is very nice and very quick to answer any questions that you may have.

However, he is dangerously incompetent. You can tell that he means well, however you will find that he asks you questions multiple times during your visits. He has been practising for 45 years. He is probably around 65-70 years old. He still seems very sharp.

He writes wrong orders, prescribes wrong medication and doses. And gets very mad when you notify him of this. He holds grudges with other doctors and won't refer out. This all happened first hand with me. He also yells at patients, I've heard him while waiting in the lobby, because his practice is so small, I assume they were telling him about a mistake he made.

One instance that stands out in my mind the most didn't even concern me. I was visiting with him and his nurse came in and HE HAD WRITTEN AN ORDER/PROCEDURE INCORRECTLY and he had to change If she hadn't caught it, the patient would have gotten the wrong treatment (whatever it was).

He is completely intolerant to any suggestions that you may have too. I assume that he has been practising so long that he believes that he is always right. He acted like I was telling him what to do when I merely complained about some intense side effects of a certain medication that I was on were giving me. He became so outraged that he literally started screaming at me. His face turned red. I think he knew he was making errors in treatment but was really angry at himself and was taking it out on me.

3 times he had to correct dosages on my medication(s). Hence, the dose was too high.

He forgot to WRITE me prescriptions on two other occasions.

He is potentially dangerous. Do not get me wrong, he means well and is a good person. He is just too elderly to be practising medicine and he cannot accept it.

I would NOT recommend Dr. Alonso Galvan to anyone,
