My baby was born two months early, so we have had extensive experience with pediatric specialist in South Florida. I can attest to the fact that Dr. Fernandez is the best and most trusted doctor that I have been to. He was able to schedule an urgent appointment for me the day I called, spent over an hour with me in the appointment (both talking and listening!), explained everything in great and understandable details, wonderful calming temperament, etc. I never felt rushed, my opinion as a parent always mattered and was taken into consideration when making decisions, and he provided several options for treatment and continued testing, allowing us to explore the different diagnostic possibilities. His staff is incredibly sweet and very knowledgeable. My baby had a test done by a different doctor previously that went horribly wrong. The test was re-done by Dr. Fernandez and the difference in the way "it should be done" vs. what was done before was unbelievable. I trust him implicitly and am very grateful for his listening capabilities (rare among doctors). Hope this helps :)

I was given a brief greeting when I walked through the door, but no one made any sort of effort to help me. I felt ignored. Their office was nice and quiet. I was worried it would be overly loud but it was fine. It was nice to see them treat their staff with so much respect. It was obvious that they had a good relationship with all of their staff members. They were extremely late to all my appointments. I always had to wait over an hour for them to show up. Don't call this provider if you're in a hurry. Every time I call I have to wait on hold forever. I think I got a gray hair the last time I was waiting.

There seems to be many fake reviews. It’s impossible to get a hold of anyone for an appointment. Every time you call you must leave a voicemail and they return your call. Unfortunately we all don't have jobs that we can step outside and make calls freely. They don't respect, the patients time. I was referred here as a second opinion but after this experience left a bad taste in my mouth. When I did stop playing phone tag (about a week), they next appointment was six weeks later. Then for personal reasons I tried to reschedule it and that was another phone tag for days. I do not recommend.


Bad service. Please be aware.

The Doctor is phenomenal. Unfortunately, his staff is rude, dismissive, and condescending to say the least. There is no way to speak to someone telephonically without first leaving a voicemail message. The wait times are 1 to 2 hours past the appointment time, yet they will not forgive tardiness even if it was due to another doctor's scheduling. The staff is uncaring towards the patients. The least of all issues is that the waiting room, which patients are confined to for more than one hour past their appointment time, is not child friendly. Again, it's a shame.
