I saw Dr. Chen at Hoag ER in Newport Beach. I had been admitted for a throat issue I've been having for the last several years. He came to see me every day until I got discharged from the hospital. Based on my experience with Dr. Chen in the hospital I later went to see him as a patient at his office. He is the most down to earth, professional doctor I have seen in Newport Beach. He got rid of my problem via surgery that I had been putting off for years. He made me feel comfortable because I knew I was getting treated in excellent hands. In all, wonderful staff, wonderful doctor.

I have been a patient of Dr. Chen’s for several years. I don’t know why it took me so long to write a review on him. The only thing I could think of is that I recently moved to LA and had an insurance switch. Because of that, I had to see another ENT for my sinus problems. I never realized how good Dr. Chen was until I made the switch. Not only is Dr. Chen accurate on his diagnosis, he is also compassionate and a great listener. I am going back to see him for my problems even if it means driving down to Newport Beach.

Great ENT. Dr. Chen was able to fix my problem with non-invasive techniques. I was extremely surprised that I was able to get balloonsinuplasty done in office instead of at an operating facility. Because of that, I saved a substantial amount of money which I would have to pay to the operating facility. I highly recommend this doctor.

I was referred to Dr. Chen by one of my close friends. I was a long term chronic sinusitis sufferer for about 5 years. I finally got fed up with it and decided to get surgery. The surgery was uneventful much to my surprise-made me regret why I didn’t get it years earlier. Anyways, surgery went pretty well until I went a little overboard and caught a bad cold. I called up Dr. Chen and he was accommodating enough to see me as an emergency patient on a Sunday. I was very grateful for what he did for me; I think any other doctor would have told me to call the office during business hours. It made me realize how difficult it is nowadays to find a doc who is dedicate to his job. Thanks Doc!

Dr. Chen gave me all the time needed to answer my questions and concerns. Instead of jumping to the need for surgery, he gave me options and alternatives that were more economical for me. I know I will probably still need surgery in the future, but at least I know I have a doctor who is compassionate and cares about my well being. Dr. Chen has my highest recommendations.
