Most homophobic professional I’ve ever encountered. Unbelievable remarks made on a referral to another physician. Never in my life have I ever been treated like I was that day nor has it happened since. So disappointing, hurtful and certainly not abiding by the Golden Rule. First Cause No Harm The old adage sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me is not necessarily true. Words do have meaning and hurt.

My family MD set up a referral and I waited almost 2 months to be seen. I spent the time waiting for the appointment making a list of questions. Dr Janicki became more irritated with each question. By question 3 he interrupted me and said "what do you expect me to do about any of this".
The questions were all neurological and related to my diagnosis. Then, he went on a 10 minute angry tirade about how annoying patients can be. By the end, I was in tears and stood up and left the exam room and the office and met my husband in the car. It was a terrible experience. A few weeks later I saw a neurologist that was unbelievably great. All my questions were answered and he formulated a treatment plan that has been very successful. Do yourself a favor and find someone that isn't annoyed at questions and sees you as human being instead of an annoyance. This man is unkind.

"ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS"
Riverview Neurology,
Dr Janicki was very sweet and so was my nurse. But I'll say this DO NOT drink anything before your appointment because patients are NOT aloud to use the restroom unless you have a urine test. After waiting for quite awhile I asked if I could use the restroom, my nurse showed me where it was and another nurse we walked passed said I would have to go out of the office back down the hallway in the building and use the public bathroom next to the water fountains. I was in severe pain, having trouble walking due to nerves from collapsed lumbar disk and SI joint injury from a wreck, thus the reason for the apt. I felt humiliated, like I was trash or something. My nurse offered to go up front and ask since I was in so much pain, I told her Thanks anyway I'll try and hold it. That is the most ridiculous thing I ever heard off. The nurse even looked shocked I was told I couldn't use the restroom "maybe she was new" or even crazier "Maybe I was the 1rst to Ever ask". Are you serious? That was becoming painful as well, holding it for an hour while electricity being shot through needles put in my ankle, calve, thigh, low back and cheek. Which by the way, Bladder Control is very difficult with My injuries!!
The Star raiting is for the Awesomely funny and always friendly Receptionist, My Nurse, and Dr Janicki.
NOT for Riverview or who ever made the descision Patients could NOT use THEIR bathrooms!! And MOST Definitely NOT the Woman who said NO I wasn't aloud.

Although I have never had much to complain about I know that they always adhere to the customer is always right policy here. They take every complaint very seriously and strive to ensure that clients leave satisfied with their visit each and every time. I didn't wait long at all. My appointment started on time, and the wait was much shorter than other offices I have been to. I am going to refer everyone I know here. I absolutely love this place. The restrooms at this office were spotless. It smelled amazing in there and looked immaculate. I've never seen anyone who is more respected by their staff. The entire staff only had great things to say about working there, and it made me want to return all the more.
