I saw Dr. Kehm for my first pregnancy. She is rude but I wanted to have a female OBGYN so I kept seeing her. I regret that decision everyday. She encouraged me to have an abortion because the ultra sound at about 12 weeks indicated that the baby had shorter than normal legs. I, of course, said no. Then something awful happened. My cervix opened up at 20 weeks and long story short I ended up having to deliver the baby at 20 1/2 weeks. My husband and I took Dr. Kehm's advise to not have the baby rushed to Sac because it was too soon for the baby to live. When I was dilated to about 5 she said she was going to see if I was open enough for the baby to be delivered. She reached into my uterus and pulled the baby half way out, feet first, and then said that he could not come out yet. What she did not say was that in doing so she cut off circulation to the baby's umbilical cord (he was wedged in the birth canal) and killed my baby. We weren't going to have him rushed to a NICU but we were hoping he'd breath or cry or see us. Instead, by the time he was delivered his lower half was purple and he was gone. She just pulled him out half way and let him lay there between my legs and, in my opinion, killed him. She knew what was happening and didn't say a word about it. He was alive and moving before that, kicking, and we even saw his little foot move when he stuck it out for a second. I hate her to this day for what she did. This happened in 2002. I have had 2 healthy kids since then and my Dr. was Scott Mellum. He was amazingly awesome. The best advise I can give to anyone looking for an OBGYN is this: Do NOT go to Dr. Susan Kehm!!!!
