When I called to make my appointment I was asked what was my concern. I answered my most pressing (and socially acceptable/comfortable concern to address with a receptionist I had yet to meet) my hacking cough that was of great concern to my husband.

Upon filling out their initial patient paperwork (and in light of full disclosure) I added information regarding my headaches and anxiety caused by being underneath the WTC in NYC on 9/11/01, as my secondary concerns.

I will admit to feeling in distress in Dr. K.'s office, at which point she threw me out saying I needed way too much help, that I had only mentioned a cough, and she only had 10 minutes; then she told me to drive to the hospital 15-20 minutes away in Bellingham. That didn't feel safe or smart so I tried to confirm with the front desk that there was indeed no closer option. At which point Dr. K. trotted up to tell the receptionist I wasn't to be helped any further and I was told to leave the office.
