My New Health Care provider "Doctor Steven M Hartline MD" Believe me , if it was not so I would not tell you as I am a person who completely tells you point blank how I feel . I relocated to Virginia from North Carolina . Looking for a Family Physician to continue my existing Health/Care plan with . I had 1st chose a Family Physician near my New Home > A Doctor FOROOZAN AFSHARCHI with Saint Luke's ,Sentara Family Practice in Carrollton Virginia . I had went to the office of , And I do not even find humor of calling her Doctor , But I had went to Dr FOROOZAN 6 weeks prior to my scheduled appointment to sign release forms (Six weeks in advance ) As so my Medical Records would be sure to be there when I went in for my scheduled appointment due to I have Serious Heart Issues . 6 weeks later on my appointment date Doctor FOROOZAN still did not have my Medical Records and said it was due to my North Carolina Medical providers had not sent them . I pulled out my cell phone , called my North Carolina Health Care providers and inquired , My N.C. Heath Care Staff all knows and loves me , Ms Linda said , Harold , I do not know why your New Health Care provider is telling you it is our fault but no such request has been sent for your Medical Records , I said ok Ms Linda Thank You . I then looked at Doctor FOROOZAN and said> Well Doctor , you heard the conversation and My N.C. Provider says she has received no request . I actually feel it intimidated Dr FOROOZAN . But then she told me it must be due to some fault of The Sentara Main office in Newport News ,Va because her staff has to go thru the main office to obtain Medical Records . Then She ask , What is it I can do for you today Mr Jones . I replied , Doctor FOROOZAN ,, How can you do anything for me if you have no previous history nor Medical Records . Then Dr FOROOZAN ask was that my medications I had in my hand and if so let her see them . She then looks at the Medication , knowing nothing of my Medical History and starts telling me > Well we need to change this , and change that . I said Doctor FOROOZAN ,WHAT ARE YOU DOING , I continued and said , It has taken me 15 years to get on a Medical plan and treatment that meets my needs and you having no knowledge at all of any of my Medical History are changing my medications ...I then said , What ever Doctor just please do not alter my Heart Medication ... I took the prescriptions , left her office , went to CVS Pharmacy to fill the prescriptions> Humm ,, There was not even a prescription for my Heart Medication . Before I could ever get another prescription for my Heart Medication and had given out because of the Heart Condition I have , I started have dizzy and fainting spells , and then a week later when Dr FOROOZAN did get a prescription called in to CVS , This prescription had also been altered and changed , No > I do not any longer see Doctor FOROOZAN AFSHARCHI. But I have continued my Healh/care with Doctor Steven M Hartline . His office personnel and Staff is very courteous , very caring and concerned . My Medical Records were requested,recieved and Doctor Hartline had them and had reviewed them previous to my scheduled appointment . Dr Hartline was very concerned and caring to assisting me with my previous existing Healthcare and treatment plan . He does seem to be quite a strait to the point and just plain honest Doctor . I am very much a believer in 1st impressions . As to Dr FOROOZAN AFSHARCHI . If you do or do not choose her as your Health Care provider would be your choice , But personally , I never care to even see her at the mall , much less have her as any assistance period concerning my Health Care , But I do feel I have made a wise choice and decision with Dr Steven M Hartline MD and his Medical Staff . Thank you Dr Hartline for accepting me as a Patient .

Absolutely! They aren't arrogant at all and are more than willing to pursue advice when necessary

Yes, they went above and beyond

Definitely! They always call me back very quickly!

What I really loved was how friendly the doctor and staff were here. I felt so welcome and will definitely be with them for the long haul. They always make an extra effort to make me feel respected and attended to. They always listen to every question or concern I may have. . I know for a fact that they have lots of business, but I've never had to wait a long time in a crowded waiting room like other places I've been too. They made the extra effort to make sure every question and concern I had was addressed. I have been seeing Dr.Hartline for several years now, and he is the most thorough Dr. i have ever been treated by. He has the best bedside manner and listens carefully to everything i say and doesnt ever rush me out, A VERY good family Dr.

They were so kind and attentive to me. I didn't have to worry about them arguing with me, or contradicting what I had to say, which has been a problem for me at other places. Let me just say that this business is in one of the safest areas around and you will be pleasantly surprised at how lovely the surroundings are. They explained all the risks and benefits of my treatment options. Everything was explained in detail, all my questions were answered, and I felt a lot better about choosing a treatment plan. I feel like they go out of their way to accommodate my schedule. I always get the appointment time I want. The waiting area here is extremely spacious. There is never overcrowding and everything is spaced appropriately.
