I have had about four appointments with Dr. Tuakli. With each visit she has spent a significant amount of time and is thorough in her explanation and reporting of information. I felt very comfortable disclosing information and asking questions throughout each visit. The last visit I was detained by 30 minutes and she strolled through the door appearing to have come from lunch. That was the first time that happened. During previous visits she has not taken me on time (about 20 minutes late) but I assumed it was because she spends so much time with her patients. At this time my only concern is I have prescriptions that require monthly refills with a compounding pharmacist and with each refill lack of communication causes me to wonder if the prescription has been requested or to have to make multiple phone calls to check on the status.

Dr Tuakli has been my primary physician for the past 25 years, she also treats my husband and children. Her approach to wellness is realistic and well thought out. What I love most about her is that she is not a "pill pusher" like some physicians. She takes a holistic and overall wellness approach to most diagnosis, looking at the whole picture instead of just one symptom. However, she will not hesitate to refer to a specialist or order additional test if she believes there may be something beyond what she is seeing or if her prescribed treatment is not effective. There was a time in particular when she had to hospitalize my husband on the same day she was leaving the country. She called me from the airport that evening to be check in on him and to let us know she was in receipt of his test results and that all was well. Great commitment, from a great physician.

I went to their Columbia office. Their office was kind of gross. They definitely didn't have enough staff members on hand. It seemed like one person was trying to do everything, and I ended up waiting for a very long time. The staff members and the lady who did the blood work were really rude. Doesn't show any respect or manners at all. They do not know how to behave with their customers. When comparing them to others in their field, I would say they are by far the worst I have ever seen. I will never return. I did not feel safe at all in their care. The only good person I found there was Cathy - the front desk person. All the other staff were very rude.
