My family and I have been going to Dr. Wallman for over twenty years. Over the years Blue Cross has offered nurses to help explain things to me if I have questions. The truth is, I don't. Dr Wallman spends time explaining what your issue is, how you got it and how to get rid of it. Sure, sometimes like any doctor he runs behind. I don't mind because I know that he is giving another patient the same wonderful care that he gives me. I have praised his efficiency and care with every health care individual or another doctor every time.
First time patient and waited over an hour with no status update so I left. Front desk would not provide an estimated wait time or apologize for the delay. Highly unprofessional and not the office for me. Hope the good doctor recognizes poor scheduling and front desk service is impacting his reputation.....
Here's the problem. He's a good doctor. He's got a strange staff. Twice I waited over an hour for an apt made months in advance. On the first occasion, I told them I had to go, and they threatened to charge me for the visit. The second time, I got home to a voice mail from someone who went out of their way NOT to apologize, trying to reschedule me. They are like stubborn children. The staff is weirdly standoffish and incapable of apologizing to patients they inconvenience. I saw a guy with a walker wait for about 30 minutes. When they called him in, he complained about the wait. Did they say, "sorry for the inconvenience?" Oh no. They said, "oh stop. it wasn't that bad." It's like it would KILL them to apologize for making people wait. I couldn't take it anymore and had to leave a great doctor.
Their office was one of the quietest, most peaceful places I've ever visited. I was able to relax very easily. Not only do my appointments never get canceled last minute, they take time out of their day to send me a reminder so I don't forget. They are extremely reliable. I knew I was getting top-of-the-line treatment when they told me about what they learned at the latest conference they attended, and how they were incorporating that knowledge into the practice. I've never seen anyone who is more respected by their staff. The entire staff only had great things to say about working there, and it made me want to return all the more. They always make an extra effort to make me feel respected and attended to. They always listen to every question or concern I may have.
