Jose Parker is a doctor who does not properly care for his Patient's needs! I was in an accident on April 10th where I suffered a wrist fracture, internal bruising and a concussion. I had to miss some college classes due to my injuries. I am an honors student trying to keep my scholarship. When I got back to school I was told that I needed a doctor's note to nullify the absences which accumulated while I was recovering. The person who is supposed to provide a doctor's note IS THE PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN. When I called to ask if I could come in to receive one, Dr. Parker's medical assistant treated me condescendingly. She argued with me and when my mother, a registered nurse who knows about medical professionalism, tried to straighten things out by telling her "I am a nurse so I know how busy the doctors are" the assistant replies "Well Dr. Parker isn't a nurse, he is a DOCTOR!" Then she proceeded to hang up on my mother. We already had problems with that same assistant a few months prior. Afterwards, we called again and a different person answered the phone telling us they would not write a doctor's note. What kind of family practice refuses a Doctor's note? They told us to go to the Emergency room which ended up costing 125 Dollars Co-pay. Then, we received a letter from Jose Parker, MD, firing us from his practice as patients. All of this trauma over a simple doctor's note. This doctor does the MINIMAL he can for you.
