While every patient is entitled to their own opinion I believe the negative comment by Elaine to be unfounded absolutely. I was Dr Amaya's patient for years as well as all my kids. I have a wide experience of family physicians in many places and an advanced medical education myself.
I found him to be polite, professional, caring and totally competent. He was open to patient input and suggestions and went above and beyond what was required. He does great work in the community and is supported by a great staff. He is a devoted and personable and experienced physician and I would not hesitate to recommend him.

They paid close attention to me and all of my questions were answered. Their staff is very friendly and professional. I was very satisfied with my visit. They were helpful and I left feeling encouraged. The office was easy enough to find. Dr. Amaya-Pinto was very caring about all my needs. and made me and my son feel special.

The staff appeared to be capable. Dr. Amaya is rude, he routinely ignored my answers to his questions, acted annoyed if I asked questions, messed up prescriptions on 3 occasions, increased my dosage without adequate explanation, and even walked out of my exam room after he asked me if I had any other health concerns without listening for an answer. I thnk he may have a god complex and doesn't want any input from his patients. Ii saw him at least annually for 3 years but my last visit was so frustrating I will not return.
