I've been going to this clinic many years but was seeing his Nurse Practitioner and she was great. Then when his Nurse Practitioner left, I had to start seeing Dr.James Purpura. He was okay at first but now things have gotten bad. He is stretching himself so thin, that he no longer takes care of his patients needs. His clerk and nurse are very rude and argue with you, they cancel your appointment at the last minute, it's real hard to get anything done or even get an appointment. They make you feel unwelcome. Going to find another doctor ASAP.

Absolutely not!! They never listen to customers complaints and argue with them

Dr. Purpura is a wonderful doctor. He answered all of my questions, listened to me and did not rush the appt. at all. He is very easy to talk to and did not give me a hard time about anything. I was very nervous about going to a new doctor as I have not had a good one for many years. We moved here to Texas and I found it is hard to find a doctor that accepts new patients and I am soooo glad that he does. The office that he works at Abilene Diagnotic Clinic is wonderful as it has everything there - lab, radiology, pharmacy, etc... so it makes it very convienient. His nurse and all the girls at the front desk were very nice and and answered all my questions.

Never, they are very reliable.

No, they take every concern of mine seriously

Absolutely not! I was never uncomfortable
Is this provider easy to reach in an emergency?
Absolutely not. I was forced to call the emergency room.
Does this provider welcome questions?
Yes, they don't mind answering my questions

What good is having a doctor if you cant EVER get a call back or an appointment. My grandparents go to Dr. Purpura and my grandmother has been very ill and cant ever get a call back. They had to go to 2 minor emergency clinics and my grandfather just had heart surgery and certainly does not need to be driving all over Abilene. I live in Austin Texas and sometimes I cant just up and leave for Abilene. I thought I wouldnt have to worry since the doctor was close to them. On 2 occasion they had problems getting their medicine which THEY HAVE TO HAVE!!!!! What is going on??
