BEWARE ! THE AARP PATIENTS ARE WELCOME @ THIS OFFICE . EVEN THOUGH HE SHOWS TAKING NEW PATIENT ON THE WEBSITE FOR AARP PATIENTS . I did all the paper work for my appointment that was made for 6/18/20. Have my Card showing Dr. Obbink as PCP . Called by the office 6/17/20 that do take new Paients !!! Today the explanation by the Office Manager was . (OH YES WHT THAT MEANS IS HE IS TAKING NEW PATIENTS THAT ON NONE MEDICARE !! ) IF THE INSURANCE IS'NT INFORMED OF THAT THEY NEED TO BE ! very disappointed in the manner this was hadled . I should have informed of this when I made the appointment !!!
Dr. Obbink has absolutely no bedside manner. He is arrogant and he/his staff do not record all patient information in the computer which they sit at during almost the entire visit as I have to repeat it to both the nurse and to the doctor each visit. I have never had a physical or office call that he did not refer me to another doctor for testing - the vast majority was not necessary and played no roll in my treatment. He is not big on issuing a lot of prescriptions, which I do like and respect.
They always return my phone calls quickly. Questions are NOT answered. Doctor continually interrupts the patient, is arrogant and does NOT listen to the patient. Patient is only allowed to ask three questions per visit. Good luck with this doctor, staff is great, but doctor has a dark side that is becoming worse as time goes on. I have been his patient for 10 years and am now looking for another doctor.
