Dr. Shuart was a very sweet blessing in a complicated time in my life. I was pregnant with my sixth child and our family was new to Oklahoma. I had tried to get a tubal after my fifth, but one thing after another prevented it and here I was pregnant again and I had been high risk the previous three pregnancies, so I was not pleased to end up pregnant again, yet trusted the Lord had a purpose. The OB I chose in Ponca City, where I lived, was very stand-offish and I genuinely felt he did not care about me or my circumstances at all. Then I learned I could not have a tubal at Ponca City Hospital, even though I was high risk and HIGHLY fertile. I felt very uncomfortable with this cold-hearted doctor, so I decided to look for another.

Enter Dr. Shuart. He made me feel so comfortable with his family attitude. He was obviously a dedicated father to his children, which I highly respect. He made it very easy for me to contact him at any time, day or night, because I was high risk. While performing my tubal after my daughter's birth, he even repaired an umbilical hernia and did not charge me for it, knowing that we were struggling to make ends meet. I was awake for my tubal and panicked at one point when air entered my body and made me feel like I was having a heart attack. He was able to put my mind at ease and comfort me.

His bedside manner is exceptional. I cannot tell you if he is the best doctor for all situations, but for me...he was perfect! We had to move again, not long after, but for those six months he was our doctor...he was a sweet blessing.

He/she would never do that! Their full attention is always on me.
Was this provider argumentative or easily angered?
Not at all, they were one of the kindest, most attentive individuals I've ever met
