Dr. Taylor was great. I felt my exam was detailed and I left with my eyeglass and contact lens prescription. I felt no pressure to buy, even though I did because of the discounts and insurance. She was so nice and her staff were great too. I am laughing at the previous persons comments because 6 in a box per eye would be a year supply and if you dont keep up with your exams then as far as I know you cant get another prescription because it is expired. And thats what back up glasses are for. My two sons have backup glasses for emergencies like that. I have referred all my friends and family and voted for her for best eye doctor.

Dr. Taylor recommended that I wear my contacts for two months at a time. Little did I know that she would prescribe me only 6 contacts for each eye to last for a year. I refused to purchase contacts from her office because I could get them much cheaper at Wal-Mart. Now, after tearing a couple of contacts and losing a few more, plus just feeling the need to change them more frequently on occasion, I am wearing my last pair of contacts and my appointment is not until sometime in 2011. I left two messages with her assistant last week asking if I could get more contacts. Apparently the answer was "no" because she didn't get back with me. There was either a new receptionist or one I had not spoken with before. She was VERY POOR at customer service. I did not attack her or say anything personal against her, but I was upset because my first phone call had not been returned and I probably spoke very quickly and raised my voice. She told me to "CALM DOWN." I am also in customer service where I work and everyone knows you do not tell an upset customer to CALM DOWN. It is especially condescending coming from someone who sounds very young. She should have looked up the previous message I left because she was the one who took it before. Instead, she had me repeat everything I'd said in a previous message which enraged me having to repeat everything. It makes me wonder if she even left a message the day before. After she started to lecture me again about calming down, I hung up on her.

As much as you doctors would like to deny it, it is all about the money you get for people returning for appointments when they run out of contacts. It is not about the health of our eyes. If it were, why would you allow someone to wear the same pair of contacts for SIX TO SEVEN MONTHS, which is how long I'd be wearing them if I didn't plan to find a new doctor on Tuesday. Having to pay for the new doctor out of pocket will be well worth having my eyes feel better. So by hiring a rude receptionist just to fulfill EEOC or whatever the initials are (why else would you hire a young, rude, black receptionist?)and/or having an assistant who doesn't care and/or a money hungry group who will not refill my prescription, you've lost my business as well as my son's because I do not intend to take him to Dr. Taylor anymore either. I hope you got your money's worth out of prescribing such a small amount of contacts.
