I saw Dr.Doppelt last year to have a raised, black skin lesion biopsied. After examining the area, he said he thought it was squamous cell skin cancer and performed a shave biopsy.

Well it turned out to be stage II melanoma and he referred me to an oncologist. The oncologist performed an excision (major surgery performed in the hospital) and it was
re-staged to stage III melanoma because the shave biopsy only took off the surface of the cancer and left a large amount of cancer still under my skin.

AND because the cancer was not fully removed by the shave biopsy, it metastasized to my lymph node. So, based on my experience, I would not recommend Dr. Doppelt for any type of skin cancer diagnosis and/or biopsies.

The reason I am commenting now on Dr. Doppelt is because last week, after 7 months, I received a voicemail from his office stating, "We still have a spot that we have not treated from back in July of last year, and I was wondering if you can schedule for a follow-up, so we could recheck that spot." This is the first time that I was informed that I have another "spot" and it took them 7 months to contact me. Dr. Doppelt and his staff are very unprofessional and incompetent.

Immediately! They gave me a friendly greeting as soon as I walked in
