Apparently they haven't ever heard of the saying "the customer's always right" here. Having a high level of customer service doesn't appear to be their top priority. One thing that I don't appreciate, is that they close exactly at their scheduled time whether someone needs help or not. I can't count on them to help me if I show up even a couple of minutes past their closing time. I can tell it is maybe not a top priority to maintain a professional appearance here. They didn't look terrible, but there is definitely lots of room for improvement. One of the first things I noticed about this business was how many different areas of the building were handicap-accessible. I have been to other places where I couldn't tell how someone in a wheelchair could even enter, but they really spent a lot of time to accommodate people with all different needs. They were far to arrogant to get any sort of outside advice, even though they knew they should. I was hoping to see someone that considered my safety more important than always having an answer.
Had to go to the ER for heart palpitations. After receiving my care the ER Doctor told me he just got off the phone with Dr. Gering and that he wanted me in his office, ASAP. As I arrived to his office I signed in and sat down. The receptionist told me that I didn't have an appointment, I tried to explain to her that the Dr. was expecting me and that I was told to come here right from the ER, then another woman stepped to the window and asked me for my insurance card, I told I didn't have insurance. (I just started another job, my insurance doesn't kick in for another 30 days), she then blurred out, how are you going to pay for your visit today, cash or check, I told her I was hoping to be billed and pay that away, she told me that it would be up to Billing and stormed off. By then I just felt worst, so I asked for my paper work back and left. Before getting into the elevator, I called the ER and they told me that I have to be seen by him today, so I went back in and tried to make an appointment and the same woman came back up and started yelling at me about payments and billing and when I told her she was rude, she said I couldn't talk to her that away and said she was calling security. So, I just apologized to the main receptionist and left. So, now I'm sitting here wondering what to do... Should I try and make an appointment or try and find some other doctor... Seems like Dr. Gering just cares about money and not my health...
