I have been seeing Dr Shay for over a year. As yes he has commented about my weight which i am over weight. He has never told me that my pain was due to that. He has told me that my pain would possibly improve if i lost it. But the only problem i had is when he done a re-sodomy an i couldnt walk for 3 days. I called the office and he got me right in. Dr Shay has never been rude to me. He always answers my questions without interruption. I would recommend Dr Shay and his staff to anyone. I see Stacy Thompson who is in his office and she is awesome. .

Doctor was very rude and just wanted to tell me i was overweight but no help on how to lose the weight. He did finally reluctantly give me a pain medication prescription

I was referred to Jed Shay by my doctor in Casper as I live 121 miles away and he has an office 23 miles away from me. This doctor gave me good and bad references stating that if he felt you were an addict he would treat you as such. My first appointment, I thought he was good and thorough not pleasant but o.k. 2nd appt. I left in tears. He was so rude all he did was interrupt me when I tried to explain what I was experiencing. I came back 3rd visit and the lady Abigail walked into the room never looked at me once and sat and typed on the computer while she talked to me the whole time. My medication needs to be weaned off so I decided that was what I would do. The next time I came in the doctor was o.k. and I told him I wanted to wean off and he gave me 60 days worth of medication and said to take 1 for 30 days and 1/2 one day and another 1/2 the next day for the last 30 days. When I came to the end of that I got sick and went to my family physician and he said it was a virus. I missed the pain appt. for Dec. 6 due to illness(virus). Ran out of my medication. I asked my pharmacist and we had a lengthy chat and he felt it was to fast of a detox and that was why I am feeling ill. When I tried to reschedule from my illness, withdrawal they didn't call back and when they did he was gone back to where he comes from and I would have to see him on the 20th. Very poor pain management if any. I am going to turn him into the medical board because this is not the standard protocol for withdrawing from that drug. I would not recommend him.

went to this facility because it was recommended by another health care facility. Was very dissapointed in the bed side manner of the physician. He told me my only problem was my weight and if I took care of that the pain would go away. Was given a steroid shot that made my pain way worse and he did nothing but give me a months worth of very addictive pain medicine and told me to lose weight. He said that he would give me pain medicine until I lost the weight because that is what my problem was. They are very expensive and seemed to be just there for the money and not the real value of the patient. Went to a different doctor and will never go back.

I just saw my bill to my insurance provider and it was a complete shock. $<url removed> for a 20 minute consultation. Extremely expensive for the services rendered.

Bedsides being treated rudely, this doctor was real brief. He seemed not to care much about the patient but more about his schedule. My girlfriend has degenerative disk disease, conformed and he said no its fibromyalgia. He also had look at my girl like she some sort of pill popper. but form others that I had heard from he treats pretty much all his patients like drug addicts. My Girl is also trying to get disability, with the help of a advocate. they advocate send her some time sensitive paper work, and the girls up front lost the first ones gave it to some other patient with had all my girls personal information on it, and they were just like oops,.. sorry. so she had to get another one. then when we got the other one Dr. Shay told us he cant fill it out you have to go to a physical therapist, so of course we did. the physical therapist took notes and help my girl and send a report to Dr. Shay. We where then told it would be ready later that day. Went all the way Into Rock Springs and went to his office to pick it up, and the girl told us VERY RUDELY it would be another week to do it. when asked why they said they where busy! AVOID THIS DOCTOR YOUR INSURANCE AND MONEY ARE BEST SPEND ELSE WHERE!
