Mimi Renchner was my therapist many years ago (approximately 2001-2007). Mimi conducts her practice just like she states on her website. It's now 2014 and I often think back to my sessions for many reasons such as: reference to my current life, how she would double book me upon request, how we would have telephone sessions when I needed her but couldn't get to her office. It showed me that she genuinely cared for my well-being and desire to get better. At my first session, I thought it wasn't going to work out because there was many differences between us, age, race, religion but I was quickly put at ease because after my session I found her to be down to earth, current, and knowledgable about other cultures, races, etc. I felt it was finally a positive beginning for my road to better mental health. Therapy isn't a quick fix, you have to work at getting better. Mimi worked with me every session to get better. It's not enough to say Mimi helped me a great deal, she saved my life and for that I am forever grateful. Thank you Mimi.
Everything I told her seemed to go in one ear and out the other. I didn't feel like they cared about what I had to say at all. I left feeling very confused and frustrated. They seemed stuck in the past. I felt like her old fashioned take on things was very one-sided where she deemed my boyfriend could do no wrong. I am very displeased with her service and would highly recommend that anyone who wants to save their reltionship not see her.
