Terrible front office. Totally over billed even when I asked for prices up front. Then they will threaten you with collections. They need to be reported for unfair billing practices. Stay away!
I am a senior in college and have MassHealth due to my Mothers Epilepsy disability. From my experience I do advise you to please stay away, far far away, from this office! SO unprofessional. A formal complaint was filed by myself to my insurance company and to the Mass board of Dentistry. I cracked my tooth and my regular dentist wasn't able to finagle appointments to get me in quickly, so I made an appointment with this office. I got in for X-Rays pretty quickly, but that was all just X-Rays, no consult, no discussion of temporary fixing or risk of infections etc. I received a call the next day informing me that my insurance (MassHealth) wouldn't cover white dental fillings, despite this being a front of the mouth tooth. I was confused as I had always previously received white fillings, specifically because I am allergic to the copper used in silver fillings, I questioned it and called MassHealth. They informed me that they DO cover white fillings, for everyone regardless of allergy and to just retrieve the code from the office staff. After numerous calls and no answer I decided to stop by the office on my way home. I entered the office and waited in line, the receptionist recognized me and asked how calling MassHealth went, I explained what I was told and she turned to a woman dressed in scrubs who was on the phone. The woman hung up the phone and the receptionist proceeded to tell her that MassHealth needed the code for white fillings because I was sensitive to the copper in silver fillings and that they would cover the white fillings, the woman in scrubs proceeded to yell at the receptionist that she “wasn’t dealing with this crap, no way!” I then asked the woman myself why I couldn’t have the code as Masshealth claimed the paperwork wasn’t submitted and she responded “I’m not doing the paperwork for white fillings, people like you just WANT the white fillings but never want to pay for them. I won’t deal with people not paying their crap. If MassHealth doesn’t pay for them who will!” As I went to speak she interrupted “I’m tired of people like this getting away with this crap always looking for a free handout” I replied “If there is a remaining balance I will cover it” she replied “No I’m not dealing with this crap I won’t submit the paperwork” So the receptionist said “she can’t have the silver fillings she can’t have the copper in them” the lady in the scrubs responded “Oh yeah right, I’m sick of people saying whatever they think will get them what they want!” she turned to me and yelled “If you want the white fillings pay for them out of pocket!” I then informed her I would be transferring back to my previous Dentist and would need my X-Rays as MassHealth had already paid for them and wouldn’t a second time in one week. At this point I was visibly upset and the receptionist kept apologizing and the lady in the scrubs screams back “You’ll have to pay for them” and I replied “okay” she stops her feet and yells “Well you’re not getting them right freaking now!” and storms away. The receptionist apologizes repeatedly and states that she does this often and not to take it personally. Unfortunately I did take it personally as it happened to me and I didn’t deserve this treatment all for an office manager not wanting to properly file paperwork for insurance billing. Dr. Virgadamo looked upon the entire time from the next room and so didn’t the hygienist’s and receptionist and not one, stopped her from verbally abusing me. I have called again and left a voicemail asking for my X-rays, as a dentist was able to get me in for an appointment early next week. After this occurrence, I did call MassHealth to file a complaint and was pleasantly surprised on the compassion and thoroughness of the MassHealth agents helping me, it was much appreciated. This treatment is seriously unacceptable.
ive been their the office manager is a slob and very rude she is a slob and brings her dogs in office while seeing patients the billing is never correct and the dentist lost his license for a year and is on probation for 2 years the office manager is still there and rude to people and the office is dirty and cluttered dont go there if you want a good experience its definitley not recommended!!
I've never gotten a call to remind me about my upcoming appointment. It made me feel like they didn't care whether I showed up or not. There was lots of available parking at their office. I was glad that I didn't have to drive around looking for parking. They didn't show any sort of attention to detail, which I think is very important. I was afraid they were going to miss or forget something important. I did not feel safe at all in their care. I definitely had doubts about their qualifications. They made sure that their qualifications were obvious. I was confident that I was under the care of a professional. The office "manager" was extremely rude, and actually hung up on me after I had work done at this office and I called back with a question. The whole office is unprofessional and I would RUN from this office. DO not GO HERE
