Dr Rothman's price is reasonable on contact lenses etc but frankly I WOULD NOT recommend bringing your young child for ORTHO-K treatment with Dr. Rothman. Services is not superior at all! He just asked the mom to fit the lens for your child. The way he conversed with a typical 6- 7 year old shows he probably is more experienced dealing with teenager patients instead! Only ONE trial lens is used for both eyes and he didn't even check my child's eye after the trial lens is placed on her eye. And the office girls asked us to rinse the trial lens with a cup of TAP water!!! One office girl always gave my child a impatient look because my child couldn't read the eye charts correctly. Two white girls are very friendly and helpful though. My child didn't enjoy the visit there a bit but we did find a superior ortho-K expert further from my town but it was so worth it.

I took my daughter to Dr. Rothman's office to check out the ortho-k procedure and her eligibility for this procedure. Dr. Rothman was professional and well skilled for his job. He appeared to care about his patients. He was straightforward, telling us the possible result and the cost for the procedure with playing games. Prior to seeing Dr. Rothman, we went to another ophthalmologist (an Asian female in her early 40's) in Florham Park and was told that the ortho-k lens cleaning solution would cost about $100 a month due to the need for specialized lens involved. All other ophthalmologists we've talked to, including Dr. Rothman, said that common contact lens solution can be used and they only cost ~$10 a big bottle that last months. Dr. Rothman's staff were generally nice except a White girl who sometimes needed professional manner training. Overall, we're happy with Dr. Rothman's service.

They've never dismissed any of my concerns as unimportant, and take every concern of mine very seriously. Everything they told me in the beginning ended up turning out exactly the way they said it would. They were able to provide me everything they promised me. I've never doubted their abilities. They take the time to listen to me and the office staff is helpful. I know they really care about me and what I have to say. Just as a side note, I was very impressed with how conveniently located this business was and that it is right on the main street. It was so easy to find, I didn't have any trouble at all.
