I left the office very satisfied, I paid my balance in full and was told I had a zero balance. When I got home I got a call that they needed my Medical Insurance in addition to my VSP Eye Insurance. When I asked why hey said they needs to keep it on file, so I gave it to them. The next day another person called and asked for my Medical Insurance info and I once again gave it to them. A day or two later I got a third call asking for the same info. By this time I was getting frustrated and told them I didn't have time to keep doing this and I would give it to them the next time I was in the office. I was then informed that I had a $105 balance for testing above and beyond what VSP covered and it needed to be billed to my Health Insurance so they needed it immediately. I was never informed they were doing additional non-covered testing by either the Dr. Or the staff. Whoever I was talking to said that didn't matter that there was a balance. I explained that I had not met my deductible for my Health Insurance so if I had known I would have asked about the importance of the test and would have possibly declined them. She said the Dr. does whatever she feels is needed and the patient is responsible to pay whatever Insurance does not cover. I once again gave all my info and told her I would pay the balance when I picked up my new glasses.

Well today I picked up my new glasses and the first thing I was asked for was my Health Insurance Info. I asked what my balance was and was told $0, when I asked what happened to the $105 balance I was sent back to reception where I was told once again I had a $0 balance. I asked again what happened to the $105 balance and the receptionist went in back to ask someone else. She came back and said that the $105 had been submitted to my insurance and they had not been advised how much Insurance would cover yet so they didn't know how much I needed to pay. I explained that I would pay the $105 immediately so that I could leave and never have to deal with that office again.

As far as my new glasses go, I like them so far but they were just handed to me and still need to be fitted as they slide down my nose. No one offered to adjust them for me at all.

I also asked for a copy of my Contacts Prescription but was told it was unavailable at this time because the Dr had forgot to sign it.

While my first impression of the staff was positive they turned out to be inept, unorganized and have very poor customer service skills. I will find a new Dr even if I have to travel farther.

My first visit with Dr. Blahnik was at the VA.
Unlike other optometrist visits there, this one was my best!!!

No, They definitely believe in quality over quantity and allow more than enough time in between appointments

Not at all! They always try to get me in as soon as possible

Not at all! They are always respectful and courteous!
Did you have to wait long after you arrived for your appointment?
No, I didn't have to wait very long
