I had rhinoplasty and a chin implant from Dr. Platis 2 years ago. I know that it takes at least a year to see the actual results of your nose, but mine is not good. I think that I have done more research now that it's over...big mistake! Dr. Platis might be good at some areas of plastic surgery but rhinoplasty is not his specialty. If you're reading this now and thinking about a nose job, go to a nose or facial specialist only. Your nose is a focal point on your face. My nose is really messed up now. There was too much cartilage taken out and now I have an off-balance point at the tip that was never there before. It's really odd looking. The good thing about rhinoplasty that was a surprise to me is that there was hardly any pain. I was so scared and always assumed that I would wake up with a huge headache and my nose and face would be throbbing in pain, but I couldn't feel anything. My chin implant hurt just a tiny bit at first.
The lesson is that I should have researched and asked more questions before the procedure; I would have found a nose and face specialist for the surgery; and I could have been happy with the results.
