My experience with Dr. Leber was awful. He shows up at my hospital room at 9 pm, startling me awake, and delivered the results of an MRI in a couple of sentences. He did not allow me to ask any questions and couldn't leave my room fast enough.
I accompanied my mother-in-law to her first appointment with Dr. Leber a little over a year ago. Upon entering his office lobby, I was a little put off by its drab and dated appearance, which made me kind of question if we reached a quality destination. HOWEVER, we both soon discovered that, although his bedside manner is a little unconventional, he is excellent at what he does. He is personable and very thorough, and has a pleasant sense of humor.
I would also like to add that I have a close friend who had mysteriously become paralyzed from the waste down and finally went to Dr. Leber. He was able to identify her problem right away; a problem that had stumped other doctors. Dr. Leber sent her to a neurosurgeon and as a result, she has all her feeling back and is now able to walk short distances.
So yes, I would highly recomment Dr. Leber if you are in need of a neurologist.
