Just started seeing Dr. Kaplan in September 2011, but have only seen him once in person. After that I have only seen or dealt with other doctors that share his office, but I did not sign up for that. I do understand mistakes happen, and there are miscommunication problems, but with this office it seems it happens for everything, wether it be for getting a new medicine script which you have to wait a week, for and than they make you drive to Williamsville when you live near Lockport. One incident is they refused to give me a new script for Lyrica because they said I owed money to them. This was a billing mistake on their part for they said I owed about $30, which was covered by medicaid. The nice receptionist thought this was ridiculous and said never heard of anyone being stops their meds or PT because of billing like this. Especially since it was their fault. My Last PT was October 27. I would have kept going, but they would not renew my script for it. So after straightening the billing out and finally being able to get my pain medicine, they took months to get me anew script for PT. Than I was told that I needed to make an appointment and see them before i would get one. I made appointment, and saw doctor. he asked me if I wanted to get epidural shot, and continue with PT. I said yes. I said I would have been going, but you guys would not give me a new script. I said I would start again next month in February, for I do not have the gas money, part of it because they had me driving all the way up to Williamsville for a script, instead of Lockport, or sending it to me. he said that is fine, and i was finally told they got me a PT script and faxed it over to Body Mechanics. I just called up three days ago to get a new script for medicine that can be called n to pharmacy. They called me three days later and told me the doctor would not give me a new script for I was not going to PT. I was pretty upset, because of this run around. ANother incident, was when calling three days ago for a new script for Lyirca, was told I had are filled. I said it doe snot say that on the bottle or said it on the script when I picked it up, for i remember being upset that it didn't have a refilled, and they would make me drive to Williamsville again for script. receptionist, was very rude and became argumentative and said I was wrong there is a refill. i said fine and called up my pharmacy. They verified that I did not have a refill for it did not say it on the script. they said they would call the office and tell them that. I still have not received a phone call on this issue. Just in the short time that I have been seeing this doctor, problems have been absurdly numerous, more than I can explain here. FYI I have never made a public or online complaint of a doctor before.
