I thank Dr. Zamm for very likely saving my life. I had heard his interview on Gary Null's program on KAXE Public Radio many decades ago. He explained the dangers of mercury fillings and root canals. I had eight mercury fillings at the time, but had no noticeable problems so I left them alone.

Then I got a root canal followed by a lack of focus, short term memory loss, and general confusion. As the situation progressed, I developed chronic fatigue syndrome wherein I would work for 3 hours on the computer and need to rest in bed for three days.

While resting in bed I systematically reviewed all the changes in my life preceding the onset of the fatigue. The main change was the root canal. After contacting the endodontist who had put in the root canal, he responded with a lengthy letter stating that science had proven the safety of root canals. I sent a copy to Dr. Zamm who read it and responded that the endodontist did not cite one scientific peer reviewed study proving the safety of root canals. There are none.

I had a naturapathic dentist extract the tooth with the root canal and had all of my mercury fillings replaced with pure white cement fillings. I explained to the dentist step-by-step as to how I wanted the tooth extracted, just as Dr. Zamm had explained it on the radio. He removed all the tissue to the bone to clear out any infection that may have been in it.

I then went to a naturapathic doctor who provided herbal medicines that detoxified my liver, kidneys, pancreas, and tissues. My energy and clarity of mind returned. I was able to run farther and faster the next spring than I had ten years earlier, work long hours, and produce quality work.

I heartily thank Dr. Zamm for looking into peoples' mouths for the source of many of their health problems. That is the area of the dentist, but dentists often do not know of the damage they cause with the best of intentions. They believe the sales pitches of their suppliers and do not look into the science. Dr. Weston Price did that and his research results, citing the dangers of root canals, were hidden for decades.

Best wishes to you and your staff. Good health to all.

I would write no stars if I could. I went to Dr. Zamm once with a mild case of acne. We did the normal allergy tests to rule out any food sensitivities which seemed normal. However he asked if I had any excessive hair growth on my breasts. I said no, but he insisted on seeing for himself. I relented in somewhat of a panic/shock and kind of put ot out of my head, but in retrospect I realized the guy is a total perv and I should have walked out then in there. Oh, and he did absolutely nothing to help my skin problem.

It's been over a decade since I saw Dr Zamm for the first and only time. I made an appointment to see him back in 2001. I had a terrible rash that 6 other doctors (one was a specialist) could not diagnose or cure. Dr Zamm could not diagnose my problem but he put me on a high dosage of zinc and it did clear up the problem. I am thankful that after months of suffering he was able to provide me with some relief. However, he was by far the meanest doctor I have ever met. When I was in his office he scolded me numerous times about wearing perfume that day. His staff had instructed me ahead of time not to wear any fragrances to the office and I complied. I don't know what he thought he was smelling, but he sat me in front of an open window and turned a fan on full blast in my face. He kept interrupting me while I was speaking to tell me to move my chair closer to the window. He also accused me of being a street drug addict (which I am not and NEVER HAVE BEEN.) The rash I had itched very intensely so I was scratching my arm quite a bit during the appointment. He told me (and this is a DIRECT QUOTE) that "if I wanted to make it really bad I could take a knife to it." The only time during the entire appointment that he was friendly was when he was trying to sell me his book that he had written about "the healing powers of zinc". It was a Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde kind of scenario. As soon as he brought up the fact that he had published a book his personality completely changed.
I am very angry at the way I was treated by Dr Zamm. I was very young at the time and I was going to college away from home. It was scary for me to go to a new doctor without my parents there, especially after months of suffering without any relief or diagnoses. I don't know why he treated me with the level of disrespect that he did but I felt that it was completely unjustified.

In 1990, I saw Dr. Zamm because I was plagued by numerous chronic low-grade conditions. He took me through a complete evaluation and revamping of my diet and health habits that made me turn a corner. I will always be indebted to him for his insight, knowledge of health and of me as a person, and his dedication to partnering me in a successful quest for long-standing good health.
