They made the extra effort to make sure every question and concern I had was addressed. They are an absolute expert in the field. I would never feel unsafe or apprehensive in their care. They've never used foul language. They always make an extra effort to be polite and courteous.
They never postpone my appointment. They always try to get me in as soon as possible. I'm always amazed at how considerate and concerned they are for my well-being. Their advice is always wonderful and completely unbiased. Dr. George Boyle is the best cardiologist in this area.

Dr. Boyle is a wonderful caring doctor, incredibly knowledgable. He was my cardiologist for over 10 years. He still would be, but I moved from the region. If you can align yourself as a patient of George Boyle's, you are, indeed, in great and talented hands!

My dad went in for an angioplasty and a pacemaker. Dr. George Boyle gave him not 1, but 3 blood thinners. This procedure was done in Conroe Regional Medical Center. I would not refer him to anyone. We are in possession of my dads medical records, and whether intentionally, or not, there are many errors.

My dads name is (was) Ronald Dean Maffett. He drove himself in for this procedure which Dr. George Boyle "botched". Dad admitted himself 12/29/08. This was a Monday. He was a retired school teacher and an active business owner in Montgomery County Texas.

Dr. George Boyle did not have a back up doctor and could not finish the angioplasty the first day. The male nurse, a man named Scott when we called that first night said he noticed my dads urine was almost totally blood. He then said he called Dr. George Boyle who told him (Scott) to discontinue the heparin for 3 hours. My dad was ultimately given, not only heparin, but integrilion and plavix.

The 15th of January 2009, we moved my dad to The Methodist Hospital in Houston Texas trying to save his life. Dr. George Boyle told Dr. Solomon, that my dads problems were not heart related (forget that that is what he went in for!) Five days later on January 20, 2009 my dad suffered 2 Code Blues and passed over.

I am one of five adult children who has chosen not to sue. Nothing will bring my dad back. This man flat out "botched" the job, and he told this to my sister, (one of my sisters) Debra Sue Maffett, Miss America 1983, also in the presence of my adult nephew Justin.

In addition, although my degree is in business, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that the personnel in ICU/CCU were extremely inadequate.

I also blame Dr. Berwick, my dads attending physician, who had my dad down as "dementia". Excuse me! My dad went in for atrial fibrillation, to get a pacemaker, next thing he is given haldol no less and tied down for 3 days, while toxins in his body were building up, he developed pneumonia.

I have read where the FBI do in fact investigate where doctor(s) and/or institutions try to cover their tracks, and in my opinion as well as many others this has happened. 3 weeks before my dad went into the hospital, all his blood work came back normal.

His autopsy done by The Methodist said he had amyloidosis. Bottom line, my dad was started on kidney dialysis at The Methodist. All of his organs shut down. His records had him having prostate cancer. He never had that, and never was diagnosed, and/or treated for it. His records also had him down for COPD, he did not have that, was never diagnosed, and/or had it, his records also had him down for Stage III Kidney Cancer, he never had that, was never diagnosed with it, and/or treated for it. His records also had him down as having hypertension, for which he also was never diagnosed, never had, nor was ever treated for.

Talk about trying to cover your tracks. Well, I for one know the day before my dad went in, he was conducting his business with my mother. Just another normal day.

I would like to know how many other people have had similar experiences not only with this particular doctor(s), but also this institution as well.

My name is Jennifer Bryant Maffett. I can be emailed at justmoi50@yahoo.com
