Upon meeting this doctor (who started at CRMC in march)for the first time he asked if I was a shopper. (I've come to learn that that is a slang term healthcare providers use for people who shop around looking for pain meds) Mind boggled I just kind of stared at him. When I tried to describe my back issue he told me I was jumping to a diagnosis. THAT'S WHAT I CAME TO HIM FOR! My spine has been hurting since 2007 after I slipped down some stairs and this is the first time I've seeked help for it and this guy starts talking to me about needing to be in therapy and if I'm on eharmony because I'm not in a relationship. I'm not even joking. He did send me for some x-rays so at least I know nothing had been broken and healed but one of the spaces between two vertebrae was significantly narrower than the rest and he said I'm not going to send you for an MRI cause it costs $17000(that's why I have insurance) and to come back when my pain is more severe. I will NEVER go to this Dr. again.
