I appreciate Dr. Khan treating me for my allergies. I feel that that his recommendations have helped me in this area. However, my most recent visit was a bit of a shock because of his overall lack of professionalism and insight into my allergies. He seemed to make assumptions on other medical issues that I have that are not related to my allergies (leg pain, neuropathy, headaches/migraines) without knowing my history. I felt very offended when he claimed my knee pain (caused by training for a marathon) was in fact a result of gaining weight. And when we say weight, we mean 5-6 pounds in over a year. He also claimed that my headaches were due to allergies while I've had them the majority of my life..and was diagnosed with cluster headaches at a very young age. It's possible that allergies could now be a contributing factor, but to claim they are the source while disregarding my medical history. Needless to say, I was very unappreciative of his approach to my appointment and wish he would have focused more on my allergies which, after all, is his specialty.
