3 cups whole wheat flour
4 eggs, lightly beaten
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon salt
In a bowl, combine all ingredients until thoroughly blended.
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Place a colander with sizeable holes on top of the pot. Scoop several tablespoons of the flour mixture at a time and drop into colander. Firmly push the mixture through the colander's holes.
Boil the spaetzle until soft, approximately 6-8 minutes. Stir frequently to avoid sticking. Drain thoroughly.
